Rise and Shine with the, um Web?

I got a kick out of an article I read in GeekSugar earlier today based on “waking up with the web.” It’s sort of silly to think that alarm clocks are becoming outdated. Now, since everyone and their mother has some sort of mobile device, laptop or desktop computer, all the pinging, ringing, and remindering “should” be coming from these devices.

I’m a light sleeper, so I really don’t need a WakeUpLand or a Snoozester, but could find sites like iPing or YouGotCalls.com useful. I just wish that someday all of the calendar, reminder, ping-type applications could consolidate into one master site installation. Wouldn’t that make life so much easier?

Well, I remember the days of the Palm and little handheld calendar devices. I was probably hauling around five different pieces of technology at a given time to remind myself of the day’s activities, appointments and special dates. Ugh! Double Ugh! At least we are now integrating useful services that work with all of our techy devices so people can be notified about someones birthday, an important meeting, or an important happy hour.

Now, to create a telepathic dream capturing device. Hmmm . . . that is one that the Web 2.0 folks haven’t thought of yet.
